Play NowOld School RuneScape is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed and published by Jagex. Originally released in 2007, the game was re-launched in 2013 from an archived version of the original RuneScape, preserving the classic gameplay while continuing to receive new content voted on by the community.
The game features 24 skills spanning four categories as defined by Jagex: Combat skills (Attack, Defence, Hitpoints, Magic, Prayer, Ranged, Strength), Gathering skills (Farming, Fishing, Hunter, Mining, Woodcutting), Production skills (Cooking, Crafting, Fletching, Herblore, Runecraft, Smithing), and Utility skills (Agility, Construction, Firemaking, Sailing, Slayer, Thieving). All skills begin at level 1 except Hitpoints which starts at level 10, and can be trained up to level 99.
OSRS also features over 160 bosses ranging from beginner encounters accessible to new players all the way to endgame raids like the Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood, and Tombs of Amascut — designed for experienced teams with best-in-slot equipment. The game is free-to-play with an optional members subscription that unlocks the vast majority of content.
